[ shane paused for a moment, trying to remember what the guy had said his name was before deciding it didn’t matter much. chances are the kid would correct him if he was wrong anyway. ] “Well, Phil, it probably just started out as a few walkers heading the same direction, to a gunshot, maybe? And then more latched on thinking the original walkers knew somethin’ they didn’t and over time it jus’ grew to a huge impenetrable force of undead heading towards nothing.” [ grim, but true. either that or there’d been a school or something keeping them all inside for safety and the gates have just broken. ] ”That ain’t the last herd you’ll see. You jus’ gotta know that when they’re all in a big group like that they’re dangerous so you run.”
”Bill.“ [ that wasn’t even a nice introduction. but how would one make it nice at a time like this? ] "I’m pretty sure that running is the only option I have most of the time…” [ it was barely a mumble, but hopefully audible enough for the other one to hear – even if it wasn’t even directed to him. anywho; bill was now occupied with looking for some way of smooth escape – hoping he could be to some kind of use… ] "Could we create a distraction maybe? If sounds attract them, we can take advantage of it.“
[ looking down towards where the legion of undead were coming from shane frowned, maybe it wasn’t such a small herd after all, he couldn’t see the end of the masses of corpses. taking a few steps away from the road shane signalled for the other to follow close behind him, walking back through the trees the way they had come. only when they were far enough away did the male speak, his voice still hushed just in case. ] ”We’ll have to find another way ‘round. Can’t wait there forever.”
[ it wasn’t like he had any choice; bill had no weapons what-so-ever so finding someone to be with was the smartest he could do. he didn’t really put himself on top either, because he would rather just survive – if that was possible at all, which he doubted.. so when the man gave him the gesture of following him, bill nodded once, glancing to the dead people one last time before he trailed after him. a sigh of relief escaped the teen when they were on a good distance with the herd. ] "… Why are they so many?“ [ that was about the only thing Bill could say for now. ]
[ a hand stuck out, halting the other, his head turned to face them briefly, finger to his lips. he stood in silence, the cover of the trees proving exactly what they needed as a small herd of walkers passed. as long as they didn’t know the pair was there, it would be okay. ]
[ he would scream if it wasn’t for his normal calmness, so when he was stopped so suddenly; his eyes immediately scanned the area around him; first his eyes were on the stranger – then on the disgusting and filthy … things passing by. bill honestly did not know what to call them, but for now; he remained as silent as possible. ]
